iPhone 8 design leak puts an end to the curved OLED display dream

One of the killer features for the iPhone 8 was led by the rumours around a curved OLED display. But, that's most likely not happening. Nikkei, the Japanese publication, reports that the iPhone 8 may come with a slight curve, but do not expect an edge display just like the Galaxy S7. The slight curve won't provide any other functionality either.

Another report, and this time from MacRumours, reaffirms that the device will come with a slight, gentle curve. Citing people familiar with the matter, the report adds that it will come with a 5.8-inch display, out of which 5.2-inch will be usable area.

This piece of news could be disappointing to fans expecting a curved display. The iPhone 8 is definitely among the biggest smartphone announcements to be made this year. While there is no concrete news on what type of display Apple will finally go ahead with, some other unconfirmed specs include a new red colour variant, wireless charging, water resistance, A11 chipset and there have been multiple reports on the dual camera capability too.

You can check eight features that could make it a killer device here.
