Lulu Group to build Rs 2000 crore shopping mall in Dubai

Lulu Group International has laid the foundation for a new Rs 2,000 crore shopping mall in Dubai, which is set to be completed before 2020.

 

The project at Silicon Oasis will reportedly have more than 300 outlets sprawled across 23 lakh sq ft (9 lakh sq ft leasable) and is due to be completed in time for Dubai Expo 2020.

 

Named Silicon Mall, the building will have 70,000 sq ft of recreational facilities, 12 film screens and more than 50 eateries. There will also be parking facility for 3,000 cars. However, the main attraction of the mall will be the 2 lakh sq ft Lulu Hypermarket and departmental store.

 

Lulu Group is planning on building three malls in Umm Al Quwain, Sharjah and Dubai over the next three years at a total cost of about Rs 4,000 crore, scheduled for delivery between next year and 2020.

 

The group is also building three new malls in India and three more in Saudi Arabia.
