Karnataka Congress in-charge KC Venugopal raped me, says Saritha Nair

It is said that Kerala CPM leaders are all set to file a criminal case against Venugopal and other Congress leaders mentioned in the letter written by Nair.
Kerala Congress leader Venugopal was appointed as the in-charge of Karnataka Congress in April this year. Soon after his appointment, Congress party started the campaign vigorously ahead of Assembly elections to be held next year. He had earned a good name in the Congress.
But this news has come as a shocker as Saritha in a letter written in 2013 has mentioned KC Venugopal and has accused him of raping her and molesting other women too.
Saritha was caught in the Solar scam in 2005. But after spending a brief time in the jail, she came out as there was not enough proof to prove her guilty. She had partnered with Biju Radhakrishnan, who is alleged to have used Saritha to get benefits from politicians.
Biju is even alleged of killing his wife Resmi to get married to Saritha. But she continued with him in a live-in relationship and is alleged of giving sexual favours to many political leaders, most of them being the Congress leaders including KC Venugopal.

Now, the CPM government has made it a point to bring these Congress leaders alleged of asking sexual favours from Saritha to book. Thus it is expected that Venugopal will be booked under sexual harassment case. If the case is booked, this will be a huge setback to Karnataka Congress as BJP will find a strong reason to claim that Congress party in Karnataka is led by a man who is accused of a serious crime.
Even former Chief Minister of Kerala, Ommen Chandy is one of the accused in the sexual favour case. She has also mentioned Congress leaders such as Aryadan Muhammad, AP Anil Kumar, Adoor Prakash, Hybi Eden, Pazhani Manikyam, N Subrahmanyan, KC Venugopal and Jose K Mani in the case.

However, leader of Opposition in Kerala Assembly, Ramesh Chennithala has said that this letter written in 2013 has cropped up on the day when Vengara, a constituency in Malappuram district, votes in a bye-election and thus is ‘politically motivated.’
Whatever the cause of the letter coming into light now is, Venugopal is in deep trouble if the case is booked against him. How will the Karnataka Congress leaders justify the leadership of Venugopal in leading the team?
