Bengaluru: Challenging Star Darshan's recently-released movie Yajamana is doing well in the box office. According to reports, the movie has collected Rs 50 crore at the worldwide box office.

Thus, this has become the star's first film to cross the Rs 50 crore mark. This is the fourth movie in Sandalwood to cross this box office collection mark, after Yash's KGF, Puneeth Rajkumar's Rajakumara and Sudeep-Shiva Rajkumar starrer The Villain.

Yajamana was released on March 1 and has been written and directed by Pon Kumaran and V Harikrishna. The movie is produced by Shylaja Nag and B Suresh of Media House Studios.

On the first day of its release, the movie is reported to have collected Rs 6 lakh. The movie has already collected Rs 19 crore with pre-release business of dubbing, audio and satellite rights.

Yajamana stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. Thakur Anoop Singh, Tanya Hope and Dhananjay play major roles in the film.
