During his interview with an entertainment website, he said, "It was during my stay at IIT Bombay I realised what true creativity was." He also said, "During my stay at IIT, I was very active on dramatics front. I used to write, act, direct shows and plays."

"Sometimes while all this, I thought why not give it a shot as a career. If it works out excellent, if it doesn’t then I had my engineer degree to fall back upon. So soon after I passed out, I got into advertising, and since then there’s no looking back."

About Dangal:

The movie is the biography of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, and his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat, who went on to win at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Geeta won the gold medal (55 kg) and her sister Babita Kumari won the silver (51 kg). The story deal with subjects like female empowerment and the treatment of women in sports.

Aamir Khan and Sakshi Tanwar in the lead as the parents of the female wrestlers. Besides direction, Nitesh Tiwari has also written the story and screenplay for this movie.

A day before the release of the film, Tiwari said that “It’s a bag of mixed feelings because the film is being liked and eagerly awaited."

The movie has many social messages, boy-girl discrimination, a father realising the potential of his girls, girls trying to prove themselves in a patriarchal society, etc.

"There are a few comic elements too; we have sought to tell this important and serious message in a light-hearted manner. With the song, Hanikarak Bapu it has an undertone of humour, just like the entire film does," Tiwary added.

He also said, "Every age group and gender will take back home something from the film apart from it being an entertaining movie."

Tiwari must be on cloud 9 because the movie is getting positive reviews. IMDB and Times oF India gave Dangal 4 stars and 4.5 stars respectively.
