An arrest warrant has been issued against 'Mungaru Male' actor Pooja Gandhi's father Pavan Gandhi for cheating an electronics shop of Rs 8 lakh.

It is reported that Pavan Kumar Gandhi had brought electronics items from a store worth Rs 8 lakh. He had reportedly given a cheque towards the payment which has bounced.

Pavan had purchased the goods from Adishwar Showroom in Jayanagar and its Banashankari branch. The shop owners have now approached the City Civil Court accusing Pavan of cheating.

With the search warrant issued by the court, the police are now searching for Pavan. Pooja Gandhi's apartment in Banashankari has been locked up since two months and the police have no clue about their whereabouts, it is reported.

In a similar case, Pooja got a warrant from a local court in connection with a cheque bounce case, early this year.

According to a report published in Deccan Herald, the police said that Pooja had taken Rs 4 crore from a financier after signing for a movie. But the film failed at the box office, and the financier asked her to return the money.

The actor and her father had given a cheque which bounced due to insufficient balance in the bank account. Later, the financier had to take help from the local court, and a warrant was sent to the actor and her father.
