FollowSolo: Dulquer Salmaan teamed up with a Bollywood director Bejoy Nambiar for the big-budget Malayalam-Tamil bilingual movie! The movie is an anthology film, which has four short films in it based on Air, Wind, Fire, and Water. Solo was overall a dull experience for the viewers.
Velipadinte Pusthakam: Mohanlal starrer Velipadinte Pusthakam was one of the much-anticipated movies of the year as it marked the collaboration of him with the talented director Lal Jose. However, the movie was a massive disappointment. The only relief was the song Jimikki Kammal, which went viral with more than 57 million views on YouTube.
Puthan Panam: Mammootty's movie failed miserably to live up to the expectations around it.
Villain: This Mohanlal movie is the first Indian movie shot in 8K resolution, first Malayalam movie of actors like Vishal, Hansika Motwani, etc. But Villain was a failure.
Honey Bee 2: The movie turned out to be a big box-office bomb.
1971: Beyond Borders: Major Ravi, Mohanlal team joined this year for this war dramas. It had actors like Arunoday Singh, Allu Sirish, Renji Panicker, Neha Khan, Asha Sarath, Sudheer Karamana etc. It grossed only 6.8 crore from the Kerala box office and ended as a big flop.
