Deepika Padukone and team "Padmavati" rang in Navratri by unveiling the first look poster of Rani Padmini from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much-awaited magnum opus.

Deepika’s look is out from the film, and she looks drop-dead gorgeous. Personifying royalty, Deepika is doing full justice to her character. Decked with jewellery all over and donning authentic Rajasthani ethnic attire, Deepika is sporting an intense look. In one of the posters, she is seen joining hands. Deepika, personifies the courage and power the queen of Chittor was known for.

"On the occasion of the first day of Devi puja, here is the first look of Padmavati," Deepika wrote along with the poster.

Shahid, who plays Raja Ratan Singh in the film, also shared the poster. "The queen of Chittor, the symbol of bravery and beauty, Rani Padmavati," he wrote.

The movie is scheduled to release on December 1 and features Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji. Sharing the poster Ranveer wrote, "Malika-e-Chittor, Padmavati."

On September 20, the logo of the film was launched on Twitter. In fact, the announcement was quite regal in its own way. The makers wrote, “रानी पद्मावती पधार रही हैं… कल सूर्योदय के साथ.” (Rani Padmavati is arriving tomorrow with the sunrise.) And true to their word, the three actors shared the first look, a little before 7 am.

Now that we have witnessed the amazing looks of Deepika as Rani Padmavati, we are even more impatient for Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor’s look in the film. While Deepika Padukone steps into the shoes of Rani Padmavati, her rumoured beau Ranveer Singh essays the role of Alauddin Khilji.

The period drama movie is jointly produced by Bhansali Productions and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.
