Lamborghini Aventador S hits the Indian market at Rs 5.01 crore

The Italian supercar marque Lamborghini has launched the new Aventador S LP 740-4 Coupe priced at ₹ 5.01 crore (ex-showroom), arriving in India, few months after its global  launch.

It comes with stylish new design, sharper look and the much need aerodynamics package. Under the hood sleeps a retuned V12 engine that now churns out over 40 bhp of additional power. It follows another bull, the Huracan RWD Spyder in its India innings.

The new Lamborghini Aventador S is driven by a 6.5-litre V12 engine that throws out 730bhp. It comes mated to a seven-speed ISR (Independent Shifting Rods) gearbox. The vehicle claims to reach a top speed of 349kmph and does a 0-100kmph in just 2.9 seconds. Upping the performance of the car is the three drive modes it comes with - Strada  for street driving, Sport and Corsa for racing.

Coming to the looks, the Aventador S gets a restyled front bumper, a new rear bumper with a big diffuser for high-speed stability, and three exhaust pipes in the centre. Inside the cabin, you get a  new TFT display that comes in place of the instrument cluster.

Needless to say, while earlier there were year-long waits for such exotic cars to come to India, now with the competition heating up in the international auto market, newer and potential buyers like us pose for a lucrative choice. Not only that, despite the Lamborghini being sold in limited numbers in India, there are pre-orders for it and even before its official launch is snapped by the bull-loving car fans here.
